Firstly it has to be stressed that carp fishing on Revesby Estate is for Club members ONLY. No Boilies to be used on day tickets.

Revesby Estate (7 miles from Horncastle) owns two traditional lakes set in mature woodland. The lakes have ample car parking and toilet facilities. Each lake is run as a separate Club because of their very different characteristics.

Both lakes are stocked with clean, quality Common and Mirror carp.

Revesby Estate has introduced Fish Micro Chipping.

Revesby Reservoir

This is the largest lake it is 15 ha (35 Acre) in size. It was first stocked with carp over thirty years ago. In the winters of 2005 and 2006 a small restock took place.

This lake is widely respected because it is a wild fishery. The largest fish is not yet known. This fishery takes real skill; it is not like so many new fisheries in which any one can catch. It is a truly exciting fishery.

The yearly Club membership on this lake is £250 a year, this includes night fishing. The Reservoir membership is more expensive than our smaller Wong because of the large sizes of fish and greater area in which to fish. The largest recorded catch so far is a Mirror Carp weighing 32.5lbs. There is a limit on the amount of members.

This lake is also fished by day ticket coarse anglers.

The Wong

The smaller carp lake, the Wong is 1.6 ha (4 acre) in size. This lake is more exclusive than the main Reservoir; it is for Wong Club members only.

This lake is less expensive because the fish sizes are less than in the main Reservoir. The fish in the Wong at the moment range into the low twenty lbs area. This lake was first stocked in the late 1980s. However the Wong has a higher stocking rate.
